David Allen
Principal
David is the Principal and Practice Manager of Haille Paine solicitors. He has more than 30 years’ legal experience and is an expert in Estate Planning and Deceased Estates as well as Property and Employment Law. As a result of his experience and standing in the legal community, many of his matters are referred by clients and other lawyers. His community-first approach sees him take on various volunteer positions including his roles as Regional President of the Southern Tablelands Law Society and President of two local branches of the NSW Law Society.

David joined Haille Paine in September 2017 as one of the Principals of Haille Paine and today is the sole Principal.
He contributes a wealth of experience from 17 years working in Sydney law firms, including Hicksons Lawyers, and 10 years as a sole practitioner in the Southern Highlands as principal of David Allen Legal.
He leads the Estates Team, which includes estate planning, deceased estates, probate and family provision. His other areas of law include Property, Employment and Small Business Law, including sale of business.
David is President of the Berrima District Law Society and Regional President of the Southern Tablelands Law Society. At the November 2025 Annual Members Dinner and Awards Night of the Law Society of NSW, David was announced as the Rural or Regional Practitioner of the Year.
Away from the office, David is a regular soloist in sacred music performances at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Bowral. He is involved in several community non-for-profit organisations. This includes his role as Chair of the Bowral Autumn Music Festival as well as membership of the Highlands Business Circle and the Mandemar Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade. David and his wife Tina enjoy living on their farm near Berrima where they have a small herd of black Angus cattle and are involved in regenerative farming.
Rohan McAlpine
Consultant
Rohan is a Consultant to Haille Paine. He has more than twenty years’ experience across a range of legal areas with a particular focus on Property Law as well as Estate Planning and Deceased Estates. Rohan plays an active role in mentoring our junior solicitors and legal students.

Rohan joined Haille Paine solicitors in 2014 and became a Principal of the practice in September 2017, before stepping back to a Consultant’s role in 2021.
Rohan enjoys the private client work at Haille Paine and contributes a wealth of knowledge and experience in a broad range of legal areas including property law, commercial law, deceased estates and estate planning.
In 2010, Rohan made a successful tree change with his wife Lara from Sydney to the Southern Highlands. Prior to that he had worked in a variety of boutique and corporate law firms in Sydney and London.
After growing up in rural NSW, Rohan is enjoying working and bringing up his young family in the Southern Highlands, where he is actively involved in the local community.
Lucinda Freitas
Associate
Lucinda is an experienced businesswoman who enjoys a strong referral network from other professionals in the property, finance and accounting sectors. She has a depth of experience across property matters and estate planning. It is little wonder so many of Lucinda’s clients return to her or refer their family and friends.

Lucinda joined Haille Paine in 2019. Practicing mainly within the area of Property Law, Lucinda has experience with a wide range of property-related matters, including residential and commercial conveyancing, aged care and retirement village leases, strata by-laws and advice for owners corporations. She also provides estate planning for her property law clients.Lucinda is a member of the Berrima District Law Society and the Southern Tablelands Law Society. She also regularly attends local networking events for young professional women. As a result, Lucinda has a strong referral network from other professionals and families in the Southern Highlands.
With a background in Human Resources, Lucinda has also managed her own business, and understands the importance of independent legal advice.
Lucinda grew up in the Southern Highlands and attended Frensham School. Outside of work, Lucinda enjoys spending time at home with her family, reading and learning new languages.
Dayle Kurovsky
Solicitor
Dayle is a Solicitor in the estates team at Haille Paine solicitors. She assists clients with the process of probate and estate administration after the loss of a loved one. During her university placement at Haille Paine, we identified Dayle as a highly intelligent and friendly law student who would make an excellent lawyer. On that basis, we recruited Dayle and she continues to go from strength to strength as a young legal professional.

Dayle joined Haille Paine in 2021 as a law clerk and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in 2022 after completing her Bachelor of Laws with Distinction at the University of Wollongong.She works as part of the Estates team in assisting clients with the process of probate and estate administration after the loss of a loved one.
Dayle is a member of the Berrima District Law Society and the Southern Tablelands Law Society. She also regularly attends local networking events for women in the legal and financial professions.
Dayle grew up in the Southern Highlands and attended Bowral High School. Outside of work enjoys she enjoys spending time outdoors.
Alexandra Maurice
SOLICITOR
Continuing in the tradition of excellent graduate lawyers at Haille Paine, Alexandra Maurice has become a valued member of the Haille Paine team. Clients and colleagues alike find Alexandra to be not only a great lawyer, but a calm and likeable person; exactly the combination you want in your lawyer. She finds great satisfaction in establishing a good rapport and trust with her clients. Alexandra was admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in September 2024, after commencing work at Haille Paine as a Law Graduate.

Alexandra obtained legal experience by working in administrative roles while obtaining her law degree and developed an interest in Property Law as a result. She confidently assists clients with residential, rural and commercial conveyancing, and also retirement village matters. She has a particular interest in commercial and retail leasing as well as sale of business transactions. Her experience acting for landlords and tenants, vendors and purchasers alike, means that she has a well-rounded understanding of property transactions and can guide and reassure her clients throughout the process.
Alexandra grew up in the Southern Highlands, after moving with her family from Sydney when she was in early primary school. She attended Bowral Public School, and then St Paul’s International College in Moss Vale for high school. Alexandra studied Mandarin during high school and has retained an interest in studying other languages. Outside of office hours, Alexandra loves to spend time with her family and friends, and to go on walks with her rescue dog, Isla.

Kerrie Allman-Hore
Associate
Kerrie was an Associate of Haille Paine who specialised in Estate Planning and Deceased Estates. Kerrie had an empathetic approach to clients at times of difficulty. She was a respected member of the legal fraternity in the Southern Highlands and attended networking events for young professional women. Kerrie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in early 2020 and passed away on 12 February 2024, aged 37. She is greatly missed by us all.

Kerrie joined Haille Paine in 2014 and became an Associate in 2018. She practised in many areas of law during the seven years she worked as a paralegal and prior to being admitted as a solicitor in 2016.
More recently, she specialised in estate planning and deceased estates, including estate administration, probate and family provision. Regardless of your age, Kerrie stressed the importance of having in place your estate planning documents, including a will, power of attorney and enduring guardian.
Kerrie grew up in the Southern Highlands and attended Bowral High School. She enjoyed the variety of legal work in a regional practice and provided an empathetic and reassuring approach to clients at times of difficulty, such as after the loss of a loved one.
Outside of work, Kerrie attended local women’s networking groups and was involved in helping the community. She enjoyed camping, photography and exploring the natural wonders of the area.
